Thanks to its knobby surface, the Protek Max compresses and closes the hole in the event of a puncture where an ordinary inner tube would enlarge the hole (balloon effect).
The self-sealing effect is additionally enhanced by sealant in the tire.
The Protek Max inner tube holds air for about twice as long as the classic Michelin Airstop.
